Cougars, Calamities and Classics: Will the Cougars Join the CIS?

The web editor  and I worked on a story together for the most recent issue of the Reflector about the potential of Mount Royal Athletics making the transfer from ACAC to CIS standing. This would be a pretty good move for the college, despite the two to three years it will take to happen. It’s only fitting that once a college becomes a university the athletics of that college follow suit.

Cougar athletics are very competitive in all of the sporting fields that we participate in and while I have no idea where I’ll be in the next 2-3 years I look forward to seeing what the Cougars can do if and when they become part of the CIS.

Here’s a gooder, poor Brian Boucher of the San Jose Sharks following a weak bobbling shot from the centre line only to … let it go in the net. Ouch … reminds me of back in the day when he was a Flame.
