Men’s soccer hosting ACACs

After an 8-1-1 season, good enough for first place overall in the ACAC, the Cougars men’s soccer team has earned the right to host the provincial championships. The three-day event will take place Oct. 22-24 and will feature Mount Royal, NAIT, Medicine Hat, SAIT, Concordia and Grant MacEwan. The Cougars have a bye into Saturday’s semi-finals, where they will play the winner of NAIT/MacEwan. Game time is 12 p.m. The bronze medal game goes Sunday, Oct. 24 at 12 p.m. fol- lowed by the championship tilt at 2 p.m. In their 10 games this season, the Cougars outscored their opposition 39-6.
