The Mount Royal Cougar men’s soccer team has had to deal with a tough start out on the pitch in their new division.
The Cougs’ have gone 0-4 and have struggled mightily against the tough competition of Canada west but there is light at the end of the tunnel.
“We’re in the mix, but we can’t be satisfied with being in the mix if we want to be who we say we want to be, which is a competitive team,” head coach Jamie Pollack told MRU communications officer Kyle Henry.
By working hard the Cougs’ are hoping they have learned the ropes of a new league.
“Going forward we want to get better and better, so we need to tighten things up. We can’t look at the referees; we can’t look at the opposition. We have to look after our own yard, so to speak,” Pollack added.
Hopefully with these lessons we can start seeing our Cougars get in the winning column.
