Oh My Girl member, Yooa (Si-Ah Yoo), has returned with her second EP titled SELFISH. With her new release, fans will be pleasantly surprised with her choice to change things up. The sound and performances she has shown with her recent EP has been one that is quite different from what she has shown the public as an Oh My Girl member and a complete flip from her past solo tracks.
We start off the EP with the titular track “Selfish,” a song that is more pop-like in sound than her other music. The song is catchy and showcases Yooa’s vocals in a different way than fans are familiar with. The next track, “Lay Low,” is more playful and mellow in sound, a track that feels like you’re nearing the end of summer. Following is “Blood Moon,” a song that has a more mellow and chill feel. The use of bass really shines in this track and is definitely what makes this track stand out for me. The last track in the EP is “Melody” and what a great way to end the EP, it is a song that really takes elements from the other tracks and puts it all together.
SELFISH is Yooa’s second release as a soloist and with tracks full of sounds that we haven’t seen her try before, fans will be surprised by the change of pace. She’s showing us that she’s someone who still has lots to show.
